Submission Guidelines

Would you like to submit an article or event onto this blog?  Fabulous!  We’d love to have you.  Please be sure to follow the submission guidelines below:

Article Submission

Articles must be educational in nature and not just glorified sales pitches.  They should include details and references whenever possible to support your claims (if you’re making any).  They must be your own work.  If your article has been previously published online, we prefer that you at least slightly rewrite (title and first paragraph) the article so that it doesn’t get dumped as duplicate content by the search engines.

Format
Articles should be in Times New Roman 12 point font or in Arial 10 point font.  Articles should be written in Word and should already have appropriate formatting included.  Please do include links to outside references that encourage our readers to explore the topic further, but ALL LINKS MUST OPEN IN A NEW WINDOW.  Links not opening in a new window will not be fixed, they will be deleted.

About the Author

Please include an “About the Author” section with the “About the Author” title bolded (see any article on the website to see what this means).  This should be no more than two paragraphs in length and may include links to your website.  (SEE NOTE ABOVE ABOUT LINKS.)

Photos
If you want a photo included in your post and a photo to be uploaded if you get featured in the articles section, then you will need to provide a SEPARATE PHOTO (one in your article file will NOT do) that is cropped to be SQUARE (the same height and width).

Copyright
By submitting an article to us, you are warrantying that it is your original content and that you hold the copyright to it.  You are giving us the right to reprint that article and to reference it on Twitter, Facebook, and other social media and professional real estate web sites that we may cross-publish with now or in the future.  If, in the future, you decide to rescind this right, then the original blog post here will be removed, but there will be no effort made to remove references to it on other sites or cross-postings that may have occurred.  It will be the responsibility of the author to negotiate the other removals if required.

Submissions
Submit your articles as attachments (DO NOT send inline copy in your email) to:  ksparta at spartasuccess dot com

Event Submission

Events can be submitted in the same format as the articles.  Be sure to include dates and times of events and whether recordings will be available after the event.  If you want to give us the link to the recording after the event is done, we’re happy to post that into the original post as well.  (Remember to make sure the link opens in a new window!)
